The Story of Imagine and How it Began

Imagine Children's Museum was born out of the creative vision of Taylor Etchemendy, Owner/Director of INSPIRE Bilingual Early Learning Center. Taylor was born and raised in Taos and has spent her professional career supporting the well-being of families and children in the Taos community.

Using the inspiration and work of Reggio Emilia, Taylor has committed to fostering a love of learning that will stay with children throughout their lives by emphasizing the importance of respecting and valuing the many "languages" of children, including art, movement, and play.

Taylor's vision is to empower children and families by creating an environment to encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration. She is also dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where all children and families can thrive.

Imagine Children's Museum is dedicated to serving the children, families, and community of Taos, New Mexico, locals and visitors alike. Imagine's mission is to provide an immersive, creative, and inspiring environment that allows children to learn, play, and grow because Imagine understands that every child is unique and has the potential to achieve great things.

To create and nurture this special environment, Imagine provides access to exhibits and activities designed to inspire and engage children of ALL ages, including interactive exhibits that encourage hands-on exploration and art studios to foster and nurture creativity, imagination, and self-expression.

These immersive exhibits and hands-on art studios provide children with a fun and intriguing way to learn about the world around them, all while PLAYING AND HAVING LOTS OF FUN!

PLUS, the exhibits are constantly evolving and changing, so there is always something new and exciting to discover.
